At the back of the crowd
She sits alone on an empty chair

Holding her breath inside
Thoughts are conjuring up her mind

But she keeps it all hidden in
As she stares at everyone around

People smiling, dancing, laughing
As they leave her all behind

And as she stares out into the crowd
She feels she doesn't belong

Everyone has left her stranded and alone
No one's there to listen

If only they could read her mind
They would know how she feels inside

"I need someone to talk to"
"Someone to understand"

Those words she's practically screaming aloud
But no one's there to hear her

So she winds herself all tight
And locks everything inside

She doesn't let things leak out
She pushes everyone out

But what she's really wishing
Is for someone to figure her out

For anyone at all to take the time
To open up her bleeding soul

Cause she's so locked up in herself
She's dying to get out

She wants to spill her heart
And let all the feelings pour

To open like a flower
And show the world her beauty

But it's all so deep down
Buried under all that pain

Oh this cold world has left her
Broken and alone

A beautiful captivating flower
Wilted out by time

Left out in the pouring rain
She's just about to drown

Then he comes and sits beside her
And asks her what's her name

He gives her a quick smile
And she opens up her tired soul

She spills all she's holding
Out into his hands

And as he listens she begins to smile
Just like a rainbow after the rain

Her petals now fully open
A beautiful flower in pain
