A wish upon a shooting star

by Max Krakers   Jul 17, 2007

I saw a shooting star,
As I wrote this poem for you.
I made my wish and hoped,
Please make it come true.

Still I had to do something,
I had to make a suggestion.
For how can one answer,
If one doesn't know the question?

I'll tell you my wish,
So here it goes.
My friends will read it,
And so will my foes.

Yet I don't care,
All that matters to me.
Is that you read it,
So that you will see.

That my only wish,
As strange as it might seem.
Is to be with you,
That is my only dream.

Now you know my wish,
Now you know my dream.
I'd love to get an answer,
But please don't start to scream.
