Eclipse

Wants and needs mesh into one as I stand alone in shadow
What once was has come and long since gone to passing
So many things that were have died and been left to burn in the fires
The very ash of what was is the only thing I can feel in my soul
Pieces of self fade in and out from within myself somewhere unknown
How do you begin to heal the unknown wounds within your heart and soul?
Suck it up they teach you as if that is going to somehow make it go away
You're a man they say your not allowed to show compassion or feel pain
I do the things they say not to do under any circumstance
Tears pour out of these green eyes and roll down my face
My soul cries out as it struggles each day to hold on to what life is left within
It's a difficult thing when nobody knows or even seems to truly care at all
I see what they can not because I've learned to see what they refuse to acknowledge
Will light ever shine again into the depths of darkness?
Even the moon in its infinite yet familiar darkness needs the embrace of the suns light.

I really loved the content of this piece, particularly the ending line,
"Even the moon in its infinite yet familiar darkness needs the embrace of the suns light."
    Really genius literary work there.

One thing you might want to consider is breaking up the lines, it's a little clustered and makes for slightly difficult reading. Consider typing it out to show up a little differently (less words per line, indentations, ext.). The presentation done a little differently would make for an even better piece.

    Good luck and excellent work.
