As I watched you slip away
My life turned cold as I lived in disarray
The long drawn out nights
Without your warmth by my side

Wishing that once again you could be mine
Without warning, one day you came
You were by my side all the same
You told me how your life had changed
New friends you had and things you had made
I was completely content with you in my life
You were always by my side
Until one day I got a call
The hospital nurse told it all
The car crash was fatal

When was the last I held his hand?
Did I tell him loved him
Did he love me too?
I guess ill never know
But in my mind he will ever grow
Without him in my life
