THIS POEM IS DEDICATED TO THE LOVE OF MY LIFE. LAURA, MY WIFE.Laura, my life and the woman I love, You came to me descending like a dove. The day I met you was the day I knew I cared, After all the things we talked about and shared. I saw in you Laura, compassion and caring by the things you would say. Please believe I have never forgotten that to this day. You became a shining star turning my darkness into day. Laura my love, please don't let that light fade away. When we met I had a depressed and broken heart. You mended it quickly and that was just a start. In a short time although I fought it, I knew I was in love with you. I awoke one morning and that love covered me like the grass is covered with dew. I've made mistakes and you know this is true. But my love, I've always tried so hard for you. You became a shining star turning my darkness into day. Laura my love, please don't let that light fade away. Now you are gone and once again my heart is broken. You took it with you and yet with it these words are spoken. Since you have my heart look at it carefully. For within it my undying love you will see. Laura my love please put my heart back where it belongs. I promise to you our life together will sing a much better song. You became a shining star turning my darkness into day. Laura my love, please don't let that light fade away.
