Butterflies

"The butterflies"
By, Amanda Duckworth

The butterflies feel wonderful
so safe, loving, and sweet
Whenever I see you hunny
you sweep me off my feet

I love being beside you
you make me feel this way
I love you more each time I see you
more than words can say

Together in bed we lay
and laugh, and talk, and joke
I think of our sweet memories
the "i love yous" we spoke

The tears roll down my cheeks
and how my arms bleed out
The feelings we shared were illusions
I need to scream or shout

The butterflies are slowly dying
but i dont really care
You pushed me down for the last time
and now I won't be there

You'll look around to find me
and appologise once more
But it will be too late hunny
I'm walking out the door

So catch me before I leave
this will be the last time
So if you say goodbye this time
I won't hesitate to leave you behind

My heart is broke and tattered
and bleeding in your hands
If you won't put it back together
I'll find a man who can

So make your choice wisely
dont let all the butterflies die
Cause if you do I warn you
you'll be the one who cries
