A Poet's Allurement

by Anaisthitos   Jul 18, 2007

As he hesitates
to think for but a minute
his mouth parts
and out flows
a string of eloquent words
so thoughtfully chosen
so beautifully said
the rhythm is sensational
the flow is so graceful
so angelically spoken
he comes out with a poem
dripping with emotion
the words strung together
creating a web of delicate despair
he mustn't stop
what I hear
is what I need
the pure beauty of it
he's without a doubt, a poet
and the best, at that
these words are the truce
of a poet's allurement
