Surfacing Storm

by Sierra   Jul 18, 2007

The sky is dark, gloomy
Murky secrets swirling in the clouds
Faint thunder rumbles in the distance
Blackness rolls in, a silent explosion

The spirits are rushed, whispering
The earth hushes, life ceases to exist
Nothing.

A monstrous figure flashes upon the sky
A drop falls to the ground, then another
The heavens roar
Drenching the globe

Shadows lurking about
Souls weeping for their loves
The people wonder, why?

God looks upon his canvas
And paints over the darkness,
Bringing out the sun,
He restores peace once again.
