This Prince

by JaMeS   Jul 18, 2007

Day in day out we play this game,
on a rocky road to nowhere,
we've danced along false hope and lie's,
i doubt you even cared,

you cheat, deceive and hurt
and fraud me all along,
before i was too entranced by love,
to hear your seductive song,

now i push you away,
for finally can i open my eyes,
i see the witch in front of me,
that was my lover in disguise,

this pathway hurts us most now,
the princess will start to moan,
I'm sorry my darling for i give up,
now this prince will walk alone.

    Great poem.
Good rhyme and I really like the word choice.
I'm sure every prince will find his very own princes.
    Enjoyed reading it.
    Take care
