Would You Still Try

by JaMeS   Jul 18, 2007

What would you do
if you were stuck watching your life crumble,
if you were forced to just stand back,

what would you say
if people where disappearing all around,
if loneliness struck a deep chord,
if you were left to cry,

would you scream,
scream out at life around,
make it heard the unbearable pain within,

or would you lash out,
striking at the hell your locked into
at the protectors of the gates to a better place,
could you climb the wall of the damned
knowing you'll never reach the top,
knowing the other side doesn't want you,
would you still try?

Wow, really powerful piece, I really like the repetition, it creates a sense of tension.
