The Family Dinner

by Sorefromreality   Jul 18, 2007

Fresh smells rise in the kitchen's air
The family scurries around
The dinner has been prepared
Now let's gather round'

Take a seat, Bow your head
Go ahead and say grace
We know the prayer, we know eachother
We always know our place

Time to eat, dish it up
Pass it here, don't forget
Exchange the food, not so slowly
We're hungry, please don't fret

Words of wisdom, and
Words of nonsense
Talking and laughing,
About everything and nothing

To close the meal, we wash dishes
And put away the trays
But we'll never wash away
All the memories
