Sailing In A Sinking Ship

by Chris Rodriguez   Jul 19, 2007

When you need to get up but you'd rather stay
It's not like it'll make a difference anyway
Your arms are reaching out to get to something
But in the end you know you'll wind up with nothing

In the morning the good people go and pray
But you got to be cold hearted just to make it through the day
They say love will find you, love will call
Well, they never spent a day in my life before

I needed some time to figure everything out
I realized all that time just filled me with doubt
I waited for anything to pass through your lips
I was sailing along in a sinking ship

John said "God's Gonna Cut You Down"
Well, I haven't heard from him in awhile now
Someday soon I'll leave this shore
But for now I am all alone
