So Confined By Time

by Michael D Nalley   Jul 19, 2007

So much to do under the sun
So little time to get it all done
So we are constantly on the run
So we have time for everyone

So the end is the beginning, you know
So time is a fierce, and awful foe
So the beginning has no timely end
So time is a kind, and awesome friend

So all mornings will come to early light
So days turn back to the dark of night
So the stars shine forever, ever so bright
So creation is created with endless might

So the time is lost, the meaning is found
So time is measured, not pound for pound
So the hands on the clock go timelessly around
So we watch this time tied to the ground

So heaven only knows what's meant by this rhyme
So repetitious like the years four seasons sublime
So you are in prison as if you have committed a crime
So as it was in the beginning, so confined by time

Ahh - absolutely enchanting! The seeming symmetry portrayed by this piece caught my interest: it's simply delightful.
