Invincible

by Weeping Wolf   Jul 19, 2007

Oh run with me, my love, through the sands of our joy
straight into the waves of conflict before us without fear
Without hesitation, forcing our way through friendship
Struggling through waves of change, attached by a thread
Laughing and drowning and then coming up to laugh again
I feel there is no one else now but us...

Swim blissfully with me in the raging sea
We've proved not even that can tear us apart
Let the waves crash and bring us down
For a moment, into a fight to claim our air
Then the next, to relive every young memory
Your smile makes me feel so vulnerable
And yearn to do things seeming impossible...

Oh won't you tell me, tell me
What makes you seem so invincible?
How is it that nothing can ever bring you down
Even if your crushed, you still spring up again
Letting nothing break your perfect wave
While I duck and dive under the harshest strikes
That would kill me if I tried to stand against them.

With pride larger than your reckless body
You rush out into the world with nothing but a dream
Unafraid of the dangers so much bigger than you
Speeding down not in a hurry, but for the very thrill
To test the abilities of gravity and time against your will

Pleading tell me, tell me
What makes you so invincible?
Appearing so insignificant
Yet underneath so strong
You'll never know how much
I'd miss you if you left...
Even hero's have the right to cry.

Oh What makes you think your invincible?
You seem so sure yet I can only pray
You'll always stay this way...

Beautifully done. Oh, I really like it... the repeated parts are wonderful.

    In the 3rd stanza:
"Even if your crushed, you still spring up again"

    *you're crushed
