All She Had

by Loved In Hell   Jul 19, 2007

A young girl was left
Walking in the cold
She didn't have much
Only a bag to hold

People would walk past
A look of question
Some would look
With a kind affection

One of these
Was a young man
He stopped before her
And reached out a hand

She gracefully took it
So together they walked
The moment they looked
Their eyes were locked

While they were walking
From the bag she pulled something out
She gave it to him
He began to pout

"Is this all you have?"
He said, as he ripped it apart
All she had to offer
Was a little paper heart

He left her
Walking alone
But this time she was walking
With nothing to own

Awww what a sad yet lovely poem! It's truly touching. Even though she didn't have much, she offered it to him, but he ripped it up and tore her apart. Very emotional and well written.

I loved the poem. I also liked the way you ended it:
    He left her
    Walking alone
But this time she was walking
    With nothing to own

    Great one! 5/5
    Keep it up.

Ohh.... MACHINE GUN. Great emotion at the end of the poem, it feels as if you were actually the person, which I can hardly feel in most. 5/5
