Death Be My Name

Death Be My Name
By: Twisted Heart

In shadows of night and pitch of day
Glides upon the icy ground
The grip on breath has come to stay
Inside gloomy rusts of gray.

Shallow tears come to beseech thee
As gasping fire falls from grace
Inside the soul of life comes softly
With tender breath deny me.

Cloak of darkness falls deep within
Lapping up thy foolish ties
A shiver on weak heart begins
Thumping pains come again.

Thunder cross the midnight air
Cold and lost without hope
No tender moment comes to share
Just silent hunger in despair.

At last thy weakened state I claim
No breath is left to hold
Victor of thy will, now I reclaim
Barren ash, Death be my name.

Wow, that's written with such power.. Death is such a strong thing, and so definite, and you have captured the strength that it holds. Beautifully written, as always. Well done. xx
