Drunkin Calls

by Noelle Wright   Jul 19, 2007

The phone rings she knows
He's drunk again
Just let it ring says her friend
Okay she turns off the light
And mutes the phone
Whispers goodnight
On the other side of the phone is a man
Tears down his face
Feeling way out of place
Let her go says his best pal
I would man if I just knew how
He called three times that night I think
He kills the pain with a drink
But the beer was going to his brain
He thought of a way out but it was insane
I'll give her one more chance he thought
As he dialed the number she heard the phone
She smiled and her eyes opened but she wasn't alone
Her friend would get mad so she picked up the cell and left the room
She picked up the phone but was already to late all she heard was a boom

(I don't really know the message to this poem just kind of made it as I went and liked it)

    Wow.
I usually don't like poetry written like that.
But I like how you still rhymed it.
The point of the poem was wonderful... and I completely understand.
I guess I some what know how that feels.
