Drifting

Your moving away from me,
when i try to pull you back,
you move farther away,
the farther you move,
the more i need you...

Thinking of losing you,
just brings tears to my eyes,
i love you so much,
but you keep moving away.....

Your friends are before us,
we are falling apart,
but I'm trying to keep us together....

Why is it when i give my heart away,
i lose that person to,
Death, moving, or not wanting to be together...

    I can really relate to this piece (in fact I have a poem titled 'And Always I Dream Alone' which expresses almost the same mood and meaning expressed in the last stanza of this poem). This really captures the sadness and despair of losing someone. The emotion is so powerful in this. A touching piece very well written.
