Depressed People

by audrey harris   Jul 20, 2007

Depressed people depress me
because they never see past their own pain,
don't realize what's going on around them;
can't see what they have to gain.

Depressed people depress me;
it seems they've lost sight of truth
all because no one ever
told them, "I love you".

Depressed people depress me
because they can't dry their eyes
long enough to see past
the lies that fill their minds.

Depressed person, you think no one loves you;
that there's no one who cares.
But have you considered my Jesus
who loved you enough to take your death and your nails?

And sad, depressed person,
do you think God wants to torture you?
If your life was pointless as you think,
He never would of created you.

That's why, depressed person, you depress me,
and I will make it known well
that you're only depressed as long
as in your pain you dwell.
