Dead ends

by Nebula   Jul 20, 2007

You don't think she know, when you go home,
but she's smelling perfume, and not your cologne.
He see's right through, your fake smile, your fake tears...
Hurting each other after all these years.

Eye for an eye,
cut to the chase.
No more sweet talk honey,
you've got to pay.
I do what you do,
bitter sweet revenge...
I hate to say it,
but I think its the end.

Raising your voice, and closing your ears,
you don't hear the logic in what she says...
Closing you eyes you can't see his pain,
he's been trying to reach you in so many ways...

Eye for and eye,
you must feel this way.
No more sweet talk my love,
I'm sick and tired today.
I do what you do,
bitter sweet revenge...
I hate to say it,
but I think its the end.

Nice poem/lyrics. Very good story of it too - I like reading poems with stories behind them... bit sad what we do to each other to hide our feelings away - human nature is a funny ol' thing. :)

Keep writing - you're very good so I'll keep reading!
