For Jaquie

by Tony   Jul 20, 2007

Ignored, neglected, the wedding cake's long crumbled,
When into her life I clumsily stumbled,
Morning has broken but her laugh will repair,
The charming lady with cascading hair.

No pedestal needed, she's flesh and blood,
She turns my bad day into something good,
Down to earth, voluptuous and smart,
Generous in spirit and warm of heart.

She gives me goosebumps that pleasure and prickle,
Makes me feel like I've been tickled,
But should you think that I've been drinking,
It's just a glass of wishful thinking

This is a charming love poem. I like how you treat the lady as 'flesh and blood' and not on 'a pedestal'. We aren't all Godesses but real people Ha Ha.
