Forgotten reality.
It's where I belong.
Neither here nor there,
But everywhere at once.
Part reality,
Part fiction,
Part just darkness, a blank.
Real life is just a blur,
Forgotten as soon as a moment is lived,
Never captured as a memory.
My fiction, my created life is stronger,
More memorable.
But even that, even my wild imagination
Cannot hold off the darkness
That seeks to destroy.
It holds the greater part of me
Within it's clutches,
Drawing my life, my two separate lives,
Away from my soul.
Soon the darkness will be all I see, all I feel.
It will have conquered my mind,
And won new ground,
A new life lost,
Faded to nothingness.
