Run and tell that

by Hey Brittknee   Jul 20, 2007

Run and tell that to your mommy, won't she be proud of you
a dirty little tattle tale, go ahead and do what you always do
weaving lies into your stories, just another one of your tall tales
but mommy won't believe you now, i believe this time you fail

Run and tell that to your daddy, tell him all your pretty little lies
but he'll see behind that mask of yours, its all behind your eyes
tell that story again darling, just make sure it stays the same
just a sweet innocent little girl, deceiving daddy is your game

Run and tell your diary, write down yet another fake story
finally someone to believe you, go ahead and revel in your glory
what a dirty little snitch you are, and oh you're such a liar
write the words with pretty curls, then set that book on fire

Run and tell that to yourself, make your mind believe it
another candy coated lie again, but you just won't admit
you've locked yourself in a pit of denial, and you know it too
Run and tell that to your mommy, won't she be proud of you

I just clicked on this poem, cause the title was intresting, not knowing it was going to be a really good poem! And once I read the first line.. I just wanted to keep on reading. Such a good flow, and a good poem! I absolutely love how you use mutiple words to describe one thing like:
    - pretty little lies
    -sweet innocent little girl etc.
    Just a good poem! =D
    5/5!

    - Could you read/comment one of mine, if you have the time =]?
