Just A Stupid Boy

by Brooke Mason   Jul 20, 2007

Every kiss was a lie
Every hug was a joke
And who you have turned into
Makes me want to choke

I thought you were my life
I gave you all I had
You were next to me
Through good, and through bad

Even after we were done
I stayed as a friend
Despite my better judgement
I stayed until the end

You told me that you loved me
But none of that was true
But I believed it all blindly
Because I loved you too

You kept me hanging on
To be the back up girl
But I never left you hanging
Because you were my world

As I put this gun to my head
I whisper one last phrase
"I love you now, I loved you then
I'll love you forever and always."

I pull the trigger, and now I'm gone
No more am I your toy
I thought you were my dearest love
But you're just a stupid boy

I thought this was well written with ordered structure and good rhyming scheme. I also think that it justifies the idea of suicide that is never correct.
