Zombie Love

Where the drugs lead you don't have to follow.
I know that you are hurting and feel so hollow.
The craving eats your soul; Lost in the abyss.
But there are better day coming; Sweet miss.

Today, you made your choice; Welcome home.
Keep coming back; You'll never have to be alone.
Your friend did you a favor; Stealing your pot.
You reached for a straw; But more you got.

We're here whenever you need us; Stay clean.
Recovery is more than abstinence; So green.
You got off the merry-go-round; Stick around.
You have millions of friends; More will be found.

Give yourself a chance; Others you will know.
Who have took the first step; Where you'll go.
At first you'll taste bitterness before the better.
But later you'll find the days going together.

A step leading to many more; A new beginning.
A brighter change and really worth defending.
Your new life will fit you so much like a glove.
Here's to you and I welcome you to zombie love.

I think I'm gonna make my dad read this.
Just maybe it will help open his eyes.
