A Heart

by gavin   Jul 21, 2007

A heart so soft so tender,
Its well kept when you were much younger.
Its not when you gave to someone to squander,
The heart was given away and realised it was slaughtered.
Then you realise that the heart has been faltered,
Scars running so deep causing love to alter.

The heart was full of pain and woe,
Making it to have to heal alone.
So bad sometimes the heart have to be cloned,
Wounds are running everywhere,
Look at it there are wounds being sewn,
But salt has been poured in every dawn.

The heart is afraid to have another wound to lick,
That was when love will never seep in.
There is this certain fear that could never leave,
It will still heal but as slowly as it seems.
