Promise of Love

by Carolyn Diane   Jul 21, 2007

He holds her tenderly close
his kiss warm; sweet; caresses
making her aware of the love
she felt; stirring feelings
she had wanted to forget
til' this very moment
within his warm embrace...

Words of warning soon invades
his love could never be hers
beyond stolen moments
she wanted to flee; hide her tears
as thou' he knew her thoughts
he embraces her closer...

His kiss becomes a promise
of love and when the kiss ended
he tells her of his love
with a promise that whatever
life brought their way; they would
face together hand in hand...
