Great piece. The imagery and word choices are great.

The heart is such a tricky thing,
It dies then lives once more
As rolling waves that push their way
On towards a sightless shore.

Loved these lines. It would be nice if we could see what lies ahead.

THis was awesome! It reminded me of a jingle that would get stuck in my head all day! "The heart is such a tricky thing...." Loved it!

Cindy pointed out my favorite part also! That stanza brought so much color and imagination to the poem to where I could picture the ocean and feel my "tricky heart" beating..haha I love poems that make me do that! Nice work!
