Hold On

by Aki   Jul 21, 2007

I came home,
knowing you wouldn't
be waiting,
wouldn't be there anymore.
Standing at the door,
I'm confused...
Your shoes
are where they've always been,
your coat hangs
on your hook.
and there you are
sitting in the dinning room.
Right at the table
reading yesterday's paper,
like always.
When you turn
and look to me
you see my tears.
Catch me when
I fall
and hold me.
You know though...
I'm confused,
but once again
being in your arms
clears it all up.
Thank you
for staying,
for realizing
We both need
On another...
