Rain Soaked Footsteps

by purplified   Jul 21, 2007

Rain soaked footsteps walking down a lonely corridor,
entering the outside world, past the trellis of memories,
nothing makes sense like a million single pages in a bookstore.

Rain soaked footsteps walking down the middle of the road,
leaving behind forgotten pasts, presents and unknown futures,
still nothing making sense a lifetime for this puzzle to decode.

Rain soaked footsteps now drying, or maybe I mean dying, in the sun,
fading away like everything that was ever important to us,
as we walk into the darkness we know our mere existance is done.

Rain soaked footsteps will take us though many a twist and turn,
no one knows where they are going, yet we keep on walking,
Looking and searching for what ever it is we truly yearn.
