For All Of My Friends

by Slaughtered Pixie   Jul 22, 2007

Over time we not have hung out, talked, or really kept in touch
Living our lives day to day, not remembering the old days much
Daydreaming in the middle of class, you're passed a note from a friend
And opening it so discreetly and sly, hoping deep down that high school won't end
Not a single day goes by that memories of you all overflow in my mind
Daring myself to just dial and call, but at times I'd rather curl up and hide
Not only were you all my friends, but you know some of my deepest truths
Everyday I have locked away in memories, not one of them I recall is blue
When you're sad and feel that you have no one, remember that I'm still here
Friend is always a "friend," which means till the very end and never fear
Real, honest, deep and caring; telling stupid, corny jokes to see you smile
In the end it comes down to the fact that doing it was truly worth the while
Even though our lives are truly rough, a phone call away you'll have a friend
Not even when the rain is out of rain; there won't be a different mean for "till the end"
Do yourself a favor for true satisfaction, and truly appreciate everything you've got
See the world through honest eyes and forever know that real, deep love can't be bought
