Prison Of Lashes

by AmberSherrellxxIve Been Sitting Here Trying To Find Myselfxx   Jul 22, 2007

What doesn't kill me makes me stronger
But I'm not sure I can go on much longer
Too many tears turn into gashes
So I try to keep them prisoned behind my lashes
Silent screams fill the air
My pain is just too much to bear
Through their prison of lashes tears finally surge
And I am no longer able to control my urge
I etch a X across each wrist
So maybe my mark I will not miss
The blood drips away my pain
So much to lose nothing to gain
Prison of lashes way to weak
So the tears continue to leak

The pain is too much to bear, I can understand that. I can actually feel it. You know, just wanting to break free from all the pain and that you need to cry and all. 5/5
