The Mirror

The Mirror

You stand before the mirror,
You know it doesn't lie,
You stare at yourself closely,
But you never meet your eye.

You are to busy,
Regretting that last bite,
You turn from the mirror,
And cry yourself to sleep at night.

You fear no one will love you,
Because you are not a stick,
You think they'll only notice you,
When you finally make yourself sick.

So you sleep in,
To make it stealthy,
So you can skip breakfast,
When you know it's not healthy.

And soon you make it a routine,
Eating once a day,
And then you glance at the mirror,
And see yourself fading away.

They tell you you'll never be a stick,
Your bones are far to big,
You try to convince yourself,
But you will never be a twig.

You are back at the Mirror,
Your looking closely again,
Now let the routine,
Begin.

Ok the poem was good except a few parts you need to really watch your syllabal counts. it can make you or break you when it comes to a poem. The story line and the meaning behind this poem were just amazing so great work with that.
