One Red Rose

by x Mo x   Jul 22, 2007

Such a cold night,
With little love felt.
A prayer was uddered
As she knelt.

"Please, God,
Comfort me.
Is this how life
Was meant to be?

"What is the point
Of loving another?
All we do is get hurt
Because they humans hate eachother."

Silver tears
Fell to the ground
As silent sobs
Were felt all around.

A few blocks south
A young boy thought.
"What have I done?
This is not what I was taught!"

He broke her heart
And regretted it now.
He wanted to make it up
But he didn't know how.

Carefully thinking
Of life so pure
His thoughts led him
To find the cure.

The next day
After so much pain
The young girl found
A note with her name.

Who it came from
No one knows
But on the step
Lay one red rose.
