A Death

by xxKarma   Jul 22, 2007

Because it flows,call it a
river,call it water
about to flood,
you that stand stark and naked
as the willow beside it.

Remain still
what you have longed for
will come to you
in time,
in the moving water
through the calm air.

by its knowledge of you
know it,
by its own gentle
and deadly inertia.

Should it pause , do not
try to move it for that
but call it rock
call it silence or ice
split Erny second now
for it will speak,will be
sand or water or thunder.
It will address you even now.

We to shall find a voice for you int time
not aware quite
whom we mean, or what.
That stone,that dead leaf,
branch,trunk , petrified
veg ital thing split open.
By water.We shall count
its rings,starting
dead centerer.

The sun will come to us in time.

The rise of mere water
rising to the flood line
higher and deeper,
it bares
what had been concealed
we shall comprehend it,
your willow stance,
the clam,
pronouncing both
unspeakable,
speaking again.
