Beautiful weathered tree of oak
Displaying fragile broken limbs
Roots nestled in Mother Earth
Proud about your trim

Centered in forest of green
Branches reaching towards the sky
Parasites lurking deep within
Decomposing you deny

Gathering essence from all around
Strengthening your pith
Natures nutrients congregate
Causing bark and roots to writhe

Fresh blooms of foliage
Now show your reprieve
Exhibiting your inner beauty
For all to receive
