A Million Tears

Everyone was leaving,
it had gone far too quick.
The time was quite deceiving,
i gave myself a prick-

Just to see if i was dreaming,
would i wake up covered in sweat?
Would my bedclothes be all in a tangle,
would my face be soaking wet?

But no-it was reality,
a dream seemed too good to be true.
I felt like i was losing sanity,
because i was losing you.

You-sweet as a rose,
friend-true to your heart.
But no one did suppose,
that it would all soon turn dark.

I used to be a desert,
dry as a stormless plain.
But i feel as if I'm changing,
a million tears shall break my reign.
