Soiled

There's so much I hold
That tears me apart
Rips me to shreds
And opens my heart

And the harder it tries
To let out the secrets
The tighter I shield
all of my regrets

It's stirpping me down
So the web just gets wider
I smile and submit
Though I'm dying to fight her

And the enemy really
That covers these holes
Is just my reflection
I'm hoping it shows

But this crevice inside me
Grows larger and darker
I can't seem to stop it
It still seems to shock her

Each twinge of the past
Brings a pang of this Guilt
That I'd die to forget
and to sift through the silt

It all seems quite simple
But it's so complicated
That I'm lost in the tumult
I've adulterated

    "And the enemy really

^^ My favourite stanza of the poem. So meaningful and brutally raw and honest.

I loved this because of the depth and emotion you put into the piece, it is easily felt by the reader.

Flow is FLAWLESS throughout, and I found this to be beautifully written.

LOVE the ending, so intense that it hits the reader like a slap in the face.
