Seduction of the Sea

by Serina the Squid   Jul 22, 2007

Airbuds are my stepping stones
As they sing in dying tones
Of all the things I've yet to see
in life, in love--my ecstasy

And so I stand with dampened wings
and join the song that silence sings
For though I know that I'm alone
The empty feeling hasn't grown

My plastic smiles bid me wait
My heart demands I ward off fate
And slipping down and into me
I twist inside, seduce the sea

I love it's cool elaborate gown
Know it's design or rather drown
In it's waters do I die
Enveloped in a blue-green sky
