As i lay dieing

by Mandy Grace   Jul 23, 2007

As i lay dieing
i think of you
the warm blood oozes from my wrists
look at what I've done

tears drip from my chin
onto my bloody hands
look how you left me

I call out
my voice only a whisper
i feel my life flow out of me
my eyes grow heavy
no one to save me

in my mind i see you so clearly
i hear your voice whisper my name frantically

i open my eyes weakly
i can see your inhumanly beautiful face
your panicked voice rips into my heart

as you touch my cheek with bloody fingers
my lips grow dry
as you kiss me one last time
i soon drift into deep waters.
gone.....

It is very interesting and original. Ending is very effective, imagery is great and you created superb atmosphere. You have some mistakes, you used some words more than once and that leaves really bad impression. Anyway this poem shows that you have talent. Well done!
