The Drive Home

by JC   Jul 23, 2007

As i drive my car home at night,
There i see you by the road side.
And there he is the one who took my place,
They one you long for and my spot replaced.

You smile as you gaze at him in the dark,
As i slowly drive by going twenty-five I stare at you with a smirk.
Once you were mine and things were great,
Now your his and i'm somewhere else in space.

I continue to drive and turn the radio up loud,
Exerting my anguish as i scream to the clouds.
You loved me once, but it was a lie,
Because at the same time you were at his side.

It's been to long, and far to hard,
And yet there is nothing i can do in order to part.
Trying everything not to miss or want you,
Apparently i wasn't where your heart lyed true.
