Like a Child.

by Anna Apotheosis   Jul 23, 2007

Like a child would love.
I'd love the same.
like a child would cry.
I'd cry the same.
like a child would plead for forgiveness.
I'd do the same.
like a child would forget.
I would never forget.

How you whispered.
I listened.
How you cried.
you cried like me.
How you fell.
I fell too.
How you carried me to help.
I said, "I loved you".
How you cried your heart out when they gave up on me.
I cried for that last time.

I died like a child.
because I lived like a child.
You knew me as a girl.
and I knew you as a man.
I pleaded to God for forgiveness.
He just said, "You will rise".
how I resurrected when you cried at my grave.
How you saw me again with tears.
Just how did you touch my face to wipe my tears?
It made me cry.
for I have lived and I have died.
but though I'm not there...
Ill still Love you Like a child would

I like the metaphor behind this poem. And the rhyme scheme. It was a little more deep than your poetry above this. I wasnt ver fond of that. But rest assured, this is an excellent poem and from the heart.
    The way it should be.
