What a wonderful poem. The imagery is stunning. What a delightful tale :)

A legend lives for us to tend
Share with child, what we had seen
A simple man who with his bow
Gave to us a life of dreams.

What a great gift to have given.
Congrats on your challenge win with this piece.....lol....Now give back that Gauntlet....LMAO

*tear*...I have so much to say about this piece Jeannie I don't know where to start....I guess with saying...what a beautiful masterpiece you have created here! This reminded me of a poem that a teacher would read to her class or watch someone speak into a microphone and read it! It was read with a gentle oice in my head and I loved that!
Secondly, you should be very thankful you had a grandfather....All my life I wish I had one but never had the chance of meeting either of mine and I heard they would have adored me.....The only time I write about my grandpas is when I'm crying thinking of how I never got to meet them....
And Lastly, I love love love how creative you got with this.....sharing the story of your Grandpas love yet having a sort of "disney movie" twist to it...meaning it reminded me of a movie Disney would create.."The man who shot the moon"....I thought this was so excellent I have to add it to my favorites and I have no poems marked as my favorites so far!
    Loved this
