His Pain

by Beautifully Broken   Jul 23, 2007

He can't understand what is wrong
Why he can't feel a thing
How did his life change?
As he walked in the rain, he cried
Tear stricken, heart broken
Life had been sucked from him
In a matter of hours he lost all
An old photo was that all he had
The rain made the ink run
How could she just walk out like she did?
He didn't feel anger, just the pain
Felt lost, no where to go, no way out
Everything he passes bring back memories
Her sweet smell of cherries and perfume
How she never left the house with out her hair done
Oh how he wish he could stand in the bathroom doorway
Watch her tackle her hair
How she pause look back and smile
He begged for her to stay
Told her it would change!
But nothing had stop her
She still loved him, he knew it was true
But she would never return
She had moved on, found someone new
He wishes he could bury his face in her hair
Smell the shampoo she always uses
One call killed his hope of her return
That call forced him out the door
Where the crimson rain began to fall
She could have died, no!
All her livelihood gone forever
Her smile forever caught in photos
And all these months apart had not changed a thing
Part of him died with her, and soon he would join her
For he could not live without her
