Kiss on the wind

by Flying Phoenix   Jul 23, 2007

*For you*

Etching lines of scattered thought
Crawl across a once perfect scene
Draw these movements of limp waste
The hazardous times fate deemed

Twinkling sparkles alert the sorrow
Shinning like beacons past lit
Gently caressing marks of life
Echoing swarms of hearts hit

Sighs of love scatter the face
As his eyes start like long ago
Darkness and heartache drawn in
Whilst he fights a battle to let go

A shuddering gasp sweeps across
Trembling through his fingertips
His will slowly depleting to dust
He presses his soul to his lips

And kisses goodbye to the one he loved
The one he never knew why
His eyes close to the summer's breeze
A single tear falls from the sky

Laying among the broken dreams
Along sunsets brilliant glow
Gazing out to the horizon's end
A kiss on the wind to go

Beautiful, just beautiful. I loved every part of this one- it involved so much emotion, so much sadness, so much pain.
