Family Holiday Nightmare.

by michelle   Jul 23, 2007

Water was what took you
You had no time to think
Water was upon you
Far more than you could drink.

Water is so simple
But it holds a deadly game
To engulf you as it's victim
Seemed to be the waters aim.

Yet the water remains as innocent
The driver was to blame
He did not stop, as you lay floating,
Drowning in the sea of salt.

Ten minutes.Twenty minutes.Thirty minutes passed.
Until your body emerged at last
Hope, on the shore as you coughed a breath
Then snatched away; you were taken by death.

Reality hits me like a slap in the face
As i sit and wonder how this came to place
Fifteen of us went, only fourteen returned
I thought on the plane as my stomach churned.

The plane takes off while i ask myself why
Why on our holiday, why even at all
And slowly, a tear falls from my eye,
Why, why did you have to die...?

True story...</3
