The Eight Beatitudes

by oddi tea   Jul 24, 2007

This poem is based on the bible verses (Matthew 5:1-12) the eight beatitudes. Not really my BEST work but still good in essence.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jesus so pure
Saw the numerous crowd
He went to the mountain, not in fear
But to make his father proud

He told his disciples
That the poor in spirit
Blessed for they are
In heaven we live it

We who mourn
Blessed fore we are the ones
To be born
To be comforted and not shunned

The ones who are meek
For they will
Inherit the earth
Our souls be full

Blessed am I
Who hunger for what is right
They shall be full
And ready for the fight

The merciful
Blessed in their own way
They be shown mercy
With their souls in steal lay

Blessed are the pure
They shall see God
In holy sheer
And his only son

And those who make peace
They are the sons of our father
Given up our only fleece
Being left more than others

And those hurt
Because of their faith
For their kingdom
Is the only heaven’s wraith

So jeJesusinished
Rejoice, be glad
Heavens reward
Truly is the new fad

That is beautiful. You are very talented. I love reading how Christ uses other people to bless the world. Continue being an empty vessle.
