Home

My home is my haven
My personal world.
The only place ever
Where my secrets are unfurled.

So many memories
Between these walls.
So many times
Have I tripped in these halls.

Every nail and screw
Placed in the floors,
Each hinge and knob
Placed on the doors.

The roof and rooms
That hold my life.
Nothing else holds
All the tears of my strife.

Many years spent
In this building of mine,
Yet never a clock
To tell me the time.

For time means nothing
When I'm here
There is never a worry
A terror or fear.

Home is here.
It's where I belong.
A place to be loved
Where I can do no wrong.
