He Loves You

by *Charisma*   Jul 24, 2007

No explanation will do any good
Because I don't feel the way that I should.
It's been weeks, but the news still seems new,
And the truth of it is, he loves you.

There will be no long-stemmed roses for me,
No notes of affection, no poetry,
No plans of forever for just us two,
Because the truth of it is, he loves you.

There aren't any phone calls late at night.
We don't have problems on which to fight.
No reason to make-up or pull on through,
Because the truth of it is, he loves you.

I know you can't miss what you never had,
But I still find myself wanting it back.
Whether or not he knows or ever knew
It doesn't really matter, because he loves you.

Well, I like the wording and things but I REALLY wish you would step outside of the box! You have too much talent to waste it over this one person again and again and again and again...you know? Hope to see more soon about other things.

Charisma, this was such a sad poem. I really enjoyed how you tied the title in to the ending line of each stanza, it really made me feel the emotion. The flow was good and rhyming was okay as well. Good job!
