The Love Inside

by Tanner   Jul 24, 2007

I walk along the stony road
To find the one I love
I slip and fall, but get back up
To find you is all that matters

I look North and South,
East and West, but no sight of you is near
I won't give up, it's you I want
To find you is all that matters

I wak through sandy beaches,
City lights, and flower filled fields
But still I can not find you, but I won't give up
To find you is all that matters

I fly through sun filled skys,
And deep, dark oceans
My love for you is like no other
To find you is all that matters

I walk through desert sand,
And tropical forest,
But still no sight,
To find you is all that matters

But as I walk along the winter streets,
I see you up ahead
But only to find the love I had,
Has been taken by another

My flicker of love, once strong and rapid,
Now just a small flame
I walk home, beaten and broken,
Only to learn my love is gone

So I tie my rope,
And hang it from my neck,
And wrap it around the ceiling boards
I kick the chair, and hang loose and free

The love I had, now broken and dead
Flickers no more,
My last words to you, came out so sudden,
I love you my dear

Now leave me be
As I rest in the attic
My love is broken and dead,
Which adds up to the death for thee

The love inside,
Was too much to hide,
Only to be taken away,
To find you is all that used to matter
